Immunologist Attracts Over a Thousand Guests

More than a thousand guests from all over the country filled up the ballroom of Sofitel Philippine Plaza last August 5 to listen to Dr. Jau-Fei Chen, a multi-awarded Immunologist and the Founder of E. Excel International who came to Manila to conduct a Nutritional Immunology Conference.  As soon as doors were opened, people literally ran to the front rows to ensure they had a good view of Dr. Chen, who last visited the country three years ago. 

The excitement Dr. Chen’s arrival generated is understandable.  She is, after all, the individual who made the breakthrough discovery on the life-changing science of Nutritional Immunology, which focuses on disease prevention by nourishing the body with wholesome, natural plant food.  Her efforts at disease prevention have been globally recognized, earning for her awards such as “Outstanding Woman of the Year” by the American Chinese Women’s Association in 1996, and the prestigious “Ten Outstanding Young Americans” in 1997 as the first person of Chinese descent to receive it.   As an author, she has published several books, including the latest one in 2006 titled “Cancer and Nutritional Immunology”, which documents important findings during her more than twenty years of cancer research.

While Nutritional Immunology is a relatively new science, it has gained a large following around the world.  On that Sunday afternoon, the big crowd listened intently as Dr. Chen gave valuable information about the often-untapped power of the immune system, and how proper nourishment could help maximize its potentials, mentioning in the process that more than half of today’s illnesses could be eliminated by simply eating the right type of foods.  Nutritional Immunology tells us that when the immune system is weak, it will become an easy target for all types of bacteria and viruses, whereas a strong immune system can effectively ward off any illness.  It is therefore crucial to prepare our immune system and keep it healthy and strong with a consistent supply of wholesome, natural plant foods rich in phytochemicals, polysaccharides and antioxidants.
