Cash Card I FAQ

Q1: Where can we get the E. Excel-BDO cash card enrollment form?
A1: You can get it from any E. Excel branch nationwide. Please ask CS Representatives for more details on how to go about the enrollment.

Q2: What documents are required from distributor?
A2: Present valid (government-issued) IDs and photocopies of IDs. Valid IDs include: Passport, SSS, Driver’s License, Senior Citizen ID, Postal ID, Current/Active Company ID. Please take note that signature on the enrollment form should match the signatures on the valid IDs presented. Otherwise, enrollment form may not be accepted.

Q3: Where should we submit the E. Excel-BDO cash card enrollment form?
A3: The completely filled-up enrollment form with attachments must be submitted to your respective E. Excel branch where you will claim your E. Excel-BDO cash card later on.

Q4: Why submit to E. Excel branch and not to any BDO branch?
A4: If you submit it in a BDO branch, they will give you a BDO cash card and not the E. Excel cash card. Processing of E. Excel-BDO cash card enrollments are handled by E. Excel and BDO Head Office hence the necessity that all cash cards be submitted to E. Excel branches only.

Q5: How do we activate our E. Excel-BDO cash card?
A5: Please refer to instruction page attached to the cash card.

Q6: What is the MPIN located at the left side window of the paper?
A6: MPIN means Mobile Pin and is a feature used by Globe subscribers. Once the distributor enters the 4 digit number, the MPin becomes activated. This feature enables the cardholder to enjoy the following services:

  1. Balance Inquiry
  2. Send Money
  3. Pay Bills
  4. Reload

Remember that the MPin is different from the 6-digit PIN number. For more information on the procedures of using your MPin, please refer to the brochure attached to your E. Excel BDO cash card.

Q7: What is the importance of submitting the Bank Information Sheet and Transaction Receipt to your respective E. Excel branch?
A7: Once a distributor has activated his/her cash card and has submitted the Bank Information Sheet and Transaction Receipt, the company will encode your new E. Excel BDO cash card account details into our database so that your rebates will be deposited into your cash card account.

Q8: What will happen if we already activated our cash card account but have NOT yet submitted the Bank Information Sheet and Transaction Receipt to E. Excel?
A8: Any rebates due you will not be deposited into your new cash card account.

Q9: What will happen to our previous/existing BDO savings account?
A9: Previous/existing BDO savings account will be converted to a regular savings account effective July 30, 2009. That means minimum maintaining balance of Php2000 (ATM) and Php5000 (ATM with passbook) will be required. The distributor has the option whether to maintain or close the previous/existing BDO savings account. If distributor chooses to close his/her BDO savings account, remember to withdraw all remaining balances before having it closed.

Q10: What will happen if I choose to maintain the previous/existing BDO savings account aside from having the E. Excel BDO cash card?
A10: Distributors can still maintain their previous/existing BDO savings account aside from having the E. Excel BDO-Cash Card. However, please take note that once the existing BDO savings account has been converted to regular savings account, distributors must maintain Php2000 (ATM) and Php5000 (ATM with passbook). If the balance falls below the required minimum balance, bank charges/deductions will be imposed on the remaining balance. If minimum maintaining balance is not maintained and total remaining balance reaches zero, the account will be automatically closed by the bank. So please maintain the minimum balance required to keep your existing BDO savings account active.

Q11: What are the safety measures we need to know regarding the use of cash card?
A11: Here are some very important reminders regarding the usage of cash card:

  1. Always remember your 6-digit pin.
  2. Do not lose your cash card. Always keep it in a safe place.
  3. Make sure to affix your signature at the back.
  4. If card is lost or stolen or captured (by ATM machine), immediately contact 631-800 or 1-800-10-631800 (toll-free number) for provincial branches or seek assistance from the bank. They will ensure to de-activate your card so that other people will not be able to use it.

Q12: What will happen if I forgot my pin? Can I ask the bank what my pin is?
A12: If distributor forgets his/her pin, distributor has to re-enroll and pay P120 to get a replacement card. The bank will not give out your pin for security purposes.

Q13: Will the ATM machine capture my cash card in the event I forgot my pin and try different numbers?
A13: Not necessarily.

Q14: What will happen if my cash card is lost or stolen?
A14: For lost or stolen cash cards, distributor has to re-enroll and pay P120 to get a replacement card. Please fill up a new cash card enrollment form and submit in your respective branches.

Q15: Will BDO issue a periodic statement of account for cash cards?
A15: BDO will not issue a periodic statement of account. You may print from the balance inquiry when using ATM machines or get it through your mobile phone.

Q16: Can E. Excel BDO cash card holders load/deposit cash into cash card account Over-The-Counter (OTC)?
A16: Yes. E. Excel has made arrangements with BDO that this feature be allowed for all our E. Excel cash card holders. Should the bank staff not allow OTC transactions, just let them know that E. Excel has an agreement with BDO and that the bank staff simply needs to verify with their Head Office. In the same manner, other people can also load/deposit cash into your cash card. Please take note that deposit transactions will incur a minimal fee per transaction.

Q17: Can we deposit checks into our cash card?
A17: The E. Excel-BDO cash card does not have such feature. Distributors may only load/deposit cash into the cash card account.

Q18: Can we withdraw Over-The-Counter?
A18: All customers using cash cards are encouraged to withdraw from ATM machines. However, distributors may try OTC (during special cases). OTC withdrawals will incur charges however.

Q19: Will the bank close my cash card account if it has been dormant for a period of time?
A19: Yes. A cash card will be considered dormant if there has been no financial transaction for a period of 12 months. “Financial transaction” is defined as either withdrawal or deposit. If the card has become dormant, the bank will close the account automatically once it reaches zero balance. If the account has some balance left, the bank will deduct P50 (bank charge) each month after the 12 months dormancy period has lapsed. Once maintaining balance reaches zero, the bank automatically closes the account. Distributor will then need to apply for a replacement card.

Q20: Can we use the E. Excel-BDO cash card in other ATM machines?
A20: Yes, if you will refer to the back of the card, you may use the cash card in other ATM machines such as Express Net and Megalink.

Q21: If the BDO ATM machine is offline or systems are down, can we withdraw over the counter?
A21: Like any other banks, you will not be able to withdraw from ATM machines or even over the counter (OTC) if the bank is offline or systems are down.
